Lourdes Hospital – Binghamton, NY. A FEMA-sponsored flood mitigation that included 11 FloodBreak floodgates enabled Lourdes to remain fully operational in the September 2011 flood. Read the FEMA Best Practice Story
Bayshore Medical Center – Pasadena, TX. Following severe flooding, a FloodBreak passive flood barrier system was installed in 2007 and allowed Bayshore to remain fully operational during Tropical Storm Erin and Hurricane Ike flooding.
Union-Endicott High School – Binghamton, NY. The school was completely shut down by flooding in 2007 but a self-funded installation of FloodBreak passive floodgates helped keep the school dry in the September 2011 floods.
Route 22 Honda – Hillside, NJ. After shutting down for flood-related repairs in 2007, Route 22 installed a FloodBreak passive flood barrier system and was saved from 2009 flooding. Flash flooding occurred again in 2013 bu the underground garage was again protected.
