FloodBreak’s self rising flood barriers provide permanent flood protection for vulnerable openings. They are”self rising” because they are passively activated without the need for an external power source. Should your facility lose power or be located in a physical location that is impossible to access during a flood event, our flood barriers will still deploy and protect.
That’s because the activation of our self rising barriers is the floodwater itself. Once water approaches the barriers and fills up the pan located in the front, the water pressure will build and gradually push the flood barrier up until it reaches its full upright position. Once the floodwater has receded, the barrier will then return to its dormant position underground.

Why Self Rising Over Traditional Flood Barriers?
