Veer Ocean Beach, a luxury residential complex located along the San Diego coastline, required a flood protection solution to safeguard against tidal flooding and future sea level rise. With a focus on maintaining aesthetic appeal and ensuring resident access, the project integrated passive automatic flood barriers to protect 3 key entry points, including the driveway and pedestrian openings.
Below is a picture of a flood save from Jan. 2024. The passive automatic floodgates automatically deploy when the water level rises and automatically close when the water recedes.
