Last week at the MENA Climate Forum 2024 in Dubai, Lou Waters, President of FloodBreak, discussed the future of flood protection on a landscape scale with stakeholders who are challenged with protecting their communities and infrastructure from more frequent & intense storms in the Persian Gulf region.
FloodBreak has been revolutionizing flood control since its founding in 2001, and at the conference Lou shared many examples of the ways we permanently protect our customers from flood devastation, including landscape-scale solutions that are being implemented in both coastal and river environments — like the Manhattan BMCR and the adjoining Battery Park City Resilience Project. These examples show how our innovative thinking and collaboration with stakeholders will result in large-scale protection from future storms while perfectly preserving the beautiful waterfront views that drew large communities to begin with.
