Flash Flood. No Time to React. Another FloodBreak Flood Save!

In July 2025, the streets of Scotch Plains, NJ filled with water in minutes due to flash flooding. For nearby homeowners, it was another round of anxiety and damage.

The water comes in, it comes quick, and there’s really no time to react to it…

But at the Public Storage facility just down the road, the story was different as their FloodBreak floodgate deployed.

Hurricane Ida in 2021 caused unexpected flooding to storage units and damage to customer belongings, leaving Public Storage with a flooding issue to solve.

In 2023, the facility invested in a FloodBreak passive flood barrier. When the floodwaters came, the barrier deployed automatically, protecting the vulnerable entrance. No one had to rush to the scene. No emergency power was needed. The system simply worked, delivering peace of mind when it mattered most.
